Abdul Musavir Mir

Abdul Musavir Mir examines violence and “non-spaces” in our media-saturated world. Born in Kashmir in 2000, this Beaconhouse National University student explores how constant exposure to imagery desensitizes us to suffering. His work focuses on industrial spaces like brick walls and wire fences that maintain power imbalances and isolate individuals. Through familiar yet abstract visuals, he challenges perceptions and questions societal restrictions that limit self-expression and connection.
