Faqeer Muhammad is a retired criminal investigator with over four decades of experience in working on white collar and heinous crimes. He has investigated several high-profile cases, including the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and the Baldia factory fire.
Farieha Aziz is a digital rights activist and award-winning journalist. She is also a co-founder and director at Bolo Bhi, a civil society organisation geared towards advocacy, policy and research on digital rights and civic responsibility. A qualified lawyer, she also served as an amicus curiae in a case challenging the government’s ban on YouTube.
Ravi Pinjani is a barrister of Gray’s Inn (London), an advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and a registered attorney-at-law in New York. He is a partner at the law firm Pinjani & Vadria in Karachi and taught jurisprudence and legal theory at the SZABIST Law School, Karachi, for a decade. He is an alumnus of Columbia University (New York), where he was awarded the Justice Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar award and is also a Fulbright Scholar. His litigation practice includes but is not limited to criminal litigation involving financial and other crimes. He has also represented the National Commission of Human Rights in the murder of Nazimuddin (Nazim) Jokhio.
With a coalition of legal and media experts, journalist unions, human rights organisations, and international NGOs, we raise awareness about impunity in journalist murders in Pakistan. Together with our affiliates, we also aim to provide training and guidance to police investigators and journalists facing threats, while refining targeted interventions and strategies to confront impunity more effectively.
